Shilpen advises and represents employers, employees and professional clients in all aspects of employment law. This extends to managing disciplinary and grievance issues, general statutory compliance, compromise agreements, drafting employment documentation, advising on team moves and employment issues arising in corporate transactions. Shilpen has a particular expertise in acting for bankers, senior executives, professionals and company directors in connection with their entire employment needs. He regularly pursues contractual and statutory claims in the Employment Tribunal and the High Court on behalf of these clients. He also has many years of experience in general commercial dispute resolution and dispute resolution, and has been involved in a number of reported cases and cross-border disputes. He maintains a significant caseload of commercial dispute resolution and contentious insolvency matters, often involving an international element. Shilpen joined DWFM Beckman in February 2011 following five successful years with niche firm, Judge Sykes Frixou, where he established and headed that firm’s Employment Department. He has a reputation for offering decisive, pragmatic advice with the client’s objectives always in mind. Shilpen was admitted as a solicitor in 1997. He is also admitted as an attorney to the New York State Bar. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association and the International Bar Association. |
